Line of Sweets
About 2000 years ago, a sweet
substance was produced when grape juice was boiled in lead pans. This was discovered by
the Greeks. In theory, the result of so much lead in the diet killed off the Roman Empire.
The salts in Beryllium metal
are also quite sweet. However, these salts are also poisonous, but beryllium was never a
popular sweetener.
