RONCALLI HIGH TOQUES
Friday February 26th we presented each of the staff and students of Roncalli with a toque, thanks to the generous donations of the Lion’s Club and the Roncalli Student Council. These toques are beautiful keepsakes as this is the last year for Roncalli. They are black with the school crest, and embroidered with Roncalli ’10.
As there was a great deal of interest from community members in purchasing these toques and we had no extra, we are completing another order. The cost of a toque is $15. If you are interested in ordering a toque, please order at the school. We will place our order Monday March 15th; all orders must be in to Roncalli by Friday March 12th. This will allow time to complete the order for Monday. ALL orders must be prepaid. There will be no extra toques ordered.
Have a look at the toques being worn by our students throughout the community over the next two weeks. If you or you know of any person who would like to order this toque drop off $15 to Kim O’Keefe or Bonnie Bussey at Roncalli.
REMINDER - Senior prom fees
Just a reminder that the Prom fee for students attending this year's Senior Prom is $120 and can be paid at anytime. The Fee can be paid all at once in partial payments. Once we have funds into the Prom account we can start ordering decorations and supplies.
A Huge THANK YOU!
An African proverb states that “It takes a village to raise a child.” This certainly applies to our local area. Many of our parents are very involved in their child’s education, and at Roncalli we are hoping to eventually get 100% involvement.
The local Lion’s Club donated $1300 to Roncalli towards the purchase of toques for every student. These toques have the Roncalli crest and the year of the school. As this is the last year for Roncalli, these toques will have a special meaning to all who attend Roncalli. Thank you.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who are involved at Roncalli; parents, community, staff, and especially the students.
breakfast program
On school days, students all over the province enjoy a school breakfast prepared with care by volunteers. The Kids Eat Smart Foundation supports our volunteers in the set up and operation of nutritious programs that provide students with healthy food choices and the nutrition they need to get the best from their school day..... And YOU can help!
Volunteer for Roncalli High's Kids Eat Smart Breakfast Club and help make a great, nutritious start to a students day! If you can spare one day a month, we need a volunteer to come to the school from 8:00 to 8:45 to help serve breakfast and clean up.
If you are unable to volunteer but would like to contribute to our school's breakfast program, please feel free to make a cash or food donation such as apple/orange juice, cheerios, cheese, cheese whiz or jam. We are currently in the process of putting together a Christmas basket to sell tickets on as a fundraiser for our breakfast program. The Kids Eat Smart will match any funds or donations made towards the Breakfast Program.
what's your email address?
A good way to communicate between parents and the school is through email. If we have your email address we can make sure every attempt is made to keep you informed of the day to day activities at school, such as memos, newsletters and other announcements. Also, some parents would prefer to receive discipline and/or incompleted homework and assignments through email rather than the usual procedure of receiving letters in the mail. If you would like to be added to our contact list, please email the school at: rch.ps@wnlsd.ca or call the office.
